Henry The Therapy Dog
Our wonderful therapy dog Henry has been coming to the office since he was six weeks old. He was training to be a "seeing eye" dog for the blind but ended up a therapy dog for the office after Dr Okonkwo adopted him. Henry has some sort of "magical" power--he gets our autistic and speech delayed children to talk to him, he stops the patients' tears after shots with the wag of his tail, and he comforts the kids when they are scared or anxious on their visits.
We are so glad a recent study showed that children who live in homes with pets are actually less sick than children who don't. Wow! Henry may even improve our patients' health!
